The Center for Just Journalism works to strengthen how issues of crime and public safety are covered, helping journalists move beyond fragmented narratives toward reporting that is factual, contextual, and responsible. By connecting reporters with data, research, and expert perspectives, the Center helps elevate the standards of journalism and rebuild trust in public information.
The identity takes cues from the visual language of editorial design—structured, typographic, and unapologetically direct. Its foundation in Ivar Display conveys authority and permanence, while hand-drawn annotations and underlines symbolize the active role of the Center: intervening in the news, highlighting what’s missing, and adding the context today’s journalism often lacks.
The result is a brand that feels investigative and assertive, blending the discipline of print journalism with the precision of data and the conviction to challenge narratives.
